Valentines Day

The staff of Flowers by Clowance are alreading thinking about Valentines Day !
This year it is on a Thursday . The staff are busy sourcing prices of Roses etc from their suppilers so they can print up their prices lists asap.

The sales van Drivers are now planning their delvery days so they can tell their customers when they can expect a call.
The Florists of Flowers by Clowance did their first ever wedding Fair last weekend at the Tregenna Castle Hotel , here in St. Ives , Cornwall.
We have a great day , took 5 firm bookings for Weddings in 2008 and our florists were pleased with the feed back they got from the brides to be.
Flowers by Clowance did over 100 weddings in 2007 , and we will be looking to increase that in 2008!

2008

This year we will be celebrating 65 years in Business here in Cornwall.
The Nursery has seen many changes in this time i can tell you.

We had a very busy Christmas here on the Nursery.Our staff were flat out with work ! Our two sales vans broke all sales records to date!
Our Flowers by Post really took off and its some thing we will be expanding in 2008.

We are still picking Alstromeria and Chrysanths at the moment , but sooon they will be finished.
The first of our stock plants will be deliverd in week 8 , this year we are planning to grow 40,000 plants ( 2 houses / 8 beds)

At the end of January we will start picking the first of our cornish Freesias , we have over 4 houses of Freesias for 2008 - over 64,000 corms were planted in 2007 from October on wards
